The Eeyou Communications Network (ECN) is a not-for-profit telecommunications corporation providing broadband carrier services to the Cree communities of Eeyou Istchee as well as municipalities in the James Bay region.
NATURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION COLLECTED
We collect the personal information of candidates who apply on our website as well as basic information to properly identify a customer who communicates with us via the website.
The personal information collected is as follows:

- Working experience
- Academic education
- Professional skills
- Reference
- Any information mentioned by the candidate, relevant to the recruitment process
- Any relevant information provided by the client regarding his file on our network.
PURPOSES OF COLLECTING PERSONAL INFORMATION
Personal information is collected for the purpose of:
- Assess the suitability of candidates with available job offers
- Communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process
- Respond to customer inquiries on our network
COLLECTION TECHNOLOGY
Personal information is collected through the application form available on our website, as well as emails exchanged with candidates.
Customers’ personal information is collected through questions asked by customers on our website as well as emails exchanged with customers.
DISCLOSURE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION OUTSIDE QUEBEC
The personal information collected is used exclusively within Quebec, unless explicitly stated otherwise. In the case of a disclosure of a candidate’s personal information outside of Quebec, a new detailed consent will be requested that will respect at least the same initial confidentiality parameters, in accordance with the law.
RIGHT TO WITHDRAW CONSENT
Applicants and clients have the right to withdraw their consent at any time to the disclosure or use of their personal information. In this case, their application and any personal information about the client or candidate will be deleted from our systems. To exercise this right, please contact our Privacy Officer.
DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION TO THIRD PARTIES
The personal information of candidates or clients will only be disclosed to internal stakeholders involved in the recruitment process or for research into the client file. Under no circumstances will this information be sold or disclosed to third parties for marketing purposes.
INFORMATION RETENTION PERIOD
Candidates’ personal information will be retained for a period of two years from the date of submission of their application, unless explicitly stated otherwise.
SAFETY MEASURES
We have implemented appropriate security measures to protect the personal information of candidates and clients from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification or destruction. Only authorized members of our team have access to your personal information. Each member of our team is subject to confidentiality obligations.
Access to databases containing personal information is restricted and monitored on an ongoing basis.
Devices used in the collection and processing of personal information must comply with security criteria that minimize the risk of incidents.
